Seagrasses are flowering plants that grow under water. Their leaves are long and narrow, and they often grow in large "meadows" that resemble grassland, hence their name. A kind of cord is twisted from their leaves, which is used in all kinds of objects such as mattresses and cushions, such as our Andros.
