Igni is more than tableware, it is an ode to fire: raw, powerful, and full of meaning. The name comes from Ignis Spectatus, Latin for “one who has withstood the trial by fire.” And you can feel that in every piece. The collection is made from recycled and previously fired clay remnants; material that has already passed through fire once and now begins a second life. Thanks to its high iron content, the clay develops a warm, rusty glow during firing. Even the fragments that don’t survive the flames are reprocessed, adding a rough, grainy texture you can see and feel. Igni is a tribute to the fire that brought people together, that cooked, warmed, and sparked stories. Each piece is a tangible echo of that primal force.
